David Burns
Founder & CEO
David has lived in Austria since 2004 and founded Baseball Jobs Overseas in 2012. He continued to play baseball in the Austrian Bundesliga with the Attnang Athletics until the age of 45, coming out of retirement in 2021 to play one season with his son. David is involved in many aspects of the business, but his primary day-to-day focus is on expansion and new projects while supporting COO, Jimmy Jensen, in connecting members with clubs.

Jake MacDonald
Media Manager
Jake wrapped up his college career at Texas A&M University-Texarkana in 2019 and has been playing overseas ever since with stops in Switzerland, Germany, Czech Republic, Australia and France. Jake’s overseas baseball lfiestyle allows him a lot of downtime to utilize his media skills to promote BBJO members.

Carter Cromwell

Carter spent 11 years as a sportswriter for daily newspapers, covering athletics at the high school, collegiate and professional levels. He uses this experience to write the stories of our members who have travelled the world as well as writing up bios for player and club profiles. Carter’s role recently expanded to a boots-on-the-ground, U.S. scout for BBJO.

Paul Henry Simon
Graphic Design
Paul is a German baseball player who signed up for a membership on our website and has been a fan ever since. He is a skilled graphic designer who we brought on board to support our social media and marketing efforts. Paul is also the man behind the design of our new baseball card offering. Paul currently plays for the Saarlouis Hornets of the German Bundesliga 2.

Jimmy Jensen
Chief Operating Officer
After five years of traveling the world playing baseball, Jimmy finally settled in Austria in 2020 with his fiance. Jimmy’s primary role is to work with members and clubs in finding the right matches and handling inquiries. Now settled in Salzburg, Austria, and working side-by-side with David, Jimmy’s role has evolved to include the day-to-day business decisions and co-hosting the BBJO podcast.

Nick Miceli
BBJO Recruiter / Spanish Translation
Nick is a veteran international professional baseball player who currently plays with the Bonn Capitals of the German Bundesliga North. He is also the Assistant Coach for the Lithuanian National team and is greatly involved with the Portuguese Baseball Federation. Nick is a liaison for BBJO and is our Spanish-Speaking recruitment specialist.

Arik Sikula

From a Blue Jay to BBJO, Arik brings that high-level professional experience to the team and also has a vast range of experience playing overseas. Arik is in an advisory role with regard to professional leagues around the globe in support of our efforts to continue to expand on higher-level opportunities internationally for our members.

Sarah Edwards
Softball Connections / Profiles
Sarah has played softball overseas since graduating from Hofstra University in 2018. She has played in Switzerland, New Zealand, the Netherlands, and, most recently, Italy, where she is also a member of the national team. In March 2023, Sarah began an exciting new role as a summer intern hitting development coach in the Philadelphia Phillies minor-league organization. For BBJO, Sarah services our softball membership base while handling much of the administrative work, including the preparation of new profiles.

Lisa Maulden

After traveling the world playing softball since 2015, Lisa has now settled in Japan where she plays and works, keeping a busy schedule. Lisa healed the position of Softball Recruitment Manager from 2015 until early 2021 and now remains in an advisory role with Softball Jobs Overseas.

Tyler Aasland
Softball Recruitment
Tyler is a Pro Easton Athlete and has played softball overseas in the Netherlands, Australia, and Austria after graduating from St. Edward’s University in 2022. In October 2023, she will begin working as the head catching coach at Jen Schroeder’s Workshop in Anaheim, California. Tyler helps new SBJO recruits facilitate connections with teams overseas to start their international careers.

Will has played on three different continents overseas and continues to travel the world playing the game today. Will not only works on the continued development of new bells and whistles for our website, he services as a board member, providing great insight on the continued improvement of our service.
