Home to the Bonn Capitals of the German Bundesliga North, Rheinaue Stadium has an American-like ballpark atmosphere that is a rare find in Europe.
In 2001, the stadium was renovated and expanded for the European Championships at the cost of 1.05 million Deutsche Mark ($550,000 today). The 1500-seat stadium was further renovated during the fall/winter of 2017/18 and, in particular, was equipped with floodlights. The stadium is a complex of two baseball and two softball fields, arranged like a four-leaf clover.
