Personal

Hello, my name is Stephanie Texeira (TEX) and I’m 23 years old. My primary position is 1st base but I can also pitch. My pitches include fastball, change up, curveball, dropball, and riseball. My hitting has always been averaged in the 400’s.

I just finished my first season playing professional softball for Moh-beel USA at the ASBA where I was named league MVP in addition to other awards just to name a few:

All-Defensive Team
First Team All-ASBA
ASBA Most Valuable Player

At the ASBA, I led the league in BOTH RBIs (39) and Runs Scored (30) while hitting .405 and slugging .772. I also stepped into the Moh-BEEL USA pitching rotation down the stretch and threw to an ERA of 3.53!

In addition to these numbers I had 8 home runs, 3 doubles, and 1 triple with a .519 on base percentage on the season. I was intentionally walked 15 times and hit by pitch 7 times.

I graduated from Florida International University were I played four years in NCAA D1 with the following career stats:

The first high school All-American to sign with FIU in program history. I Graduated as the program’s all-time leader in batting average (.405), slugging percentage (.759), on-base (.543), runs (159), home runs (47), RBI (190), walks (147), total bases (420), defensive putouts (1,191), while second in doubles (45) and fifth in hits (224)…

At the end of the 2017 season, I was seventh in walks, 20th in RBI, 24th in total bases and 29th in home runs among all active NCAA softball players… I was sixth in walks, 11th in RBI and 14th in total bases among Division I softball players at the end of 2017.

Lisa Maulden (BBJO Softball Recruitment Manager) on Stephanie:

Stephanie (AKA Tex) is a quality player that would be a wonderful addition to any team’s roster. Tex and I play together on the Western Magpies in Auckland, New Zealand, where she is a standout in our league with her ability to absolutely crush the ball. Not only is Tex solid offensively, she is able to produce on the mound as a pitcher anytime throughout the game and is reliable in the field. As a teammate, Tex commands the field and also shows her support for her teammates through her dugout manner through constant chatter and support. Lastly, I would like to praise Tex for her involvement with the Magpie’s youth program. Not only does Tex comes out to the field early on practice days to help our youth teams, she also provides tips and tricks to the youth coaching staff on how to run a more productive/efficient practice. I would recommend Tex to any club overseas who is looking to add a dependable fielder/pitcher and a hot hitter to their lineup.
