Personal
RHP – Starting Pitcher. Fastball 88-92. Curve, slider, changeup.
Left Handed Batter. Hits for power and average. Often leader in doubles and home-runs. Historically bat 2nd, 3rd, 4th.
Throughout my baseball career, I have always played in the field when not pitching. I primarily play first base – though I have played many games at third base as well. I am a strong bat in the line-up and was recognized as a runner-up for defensive player of the year at first base during my senior year in college.
I am someone who loves to be at the field, take reps, and enjoy the baseball space. I am motivated through preparation and find confidence in my work ethic. In these ways, I tend to lead more by example and through camaraderie rather than through the spoken word. However, if there is a need for a voice, I can fill that role too. With my many years of playing and several years of coaching both at the high school and collegiate level, I am happy to spend time helping players identify and fix aspects of their game. I love being part of a team and creating an atmosphere where everyone helps each other be the best versions of themselves.

Testimonials
Soren is a great player, any team in any league would be lucky to have him. Soren is a good teammate and respects his coaches. I would work with him again in a heartbeat.
I had the pleasure of coaching Soren Hanson l for four years at Colby College, where I was an assistant Baseball coach. I also coached with Soren for a year as he was an assistant coach with the team. Soren is an amazing baseball player, combining talent with leadership and grit. He started as both a pitcher and a first basemen and was not only the top player on our team , but one of the top players in a very competitive NESCAC league. He continued his hard work as a coach, and was able to share his knowledge of the game with the players at Colby. He is polished as a pitching coach and his overall abilities as a coach are impressive. He is a student of the game continues to improve. Soren always looks professional and was a valued member of the athletic department at Colby. I recommend Soren for any coaching job unequivocally and am confident with his worldly experience he would be an outstanding candidate for the position.
Soren was good team guy, came tl ball park and gave his best everyday. He fitted in well with all involved.
His role was playing 3rd base, pitching and one of our better hitters.
I would certainly recommend him to any team.
