Personal
McCoy is a bonafide clean-up hitter with a track record of success everywhere he has played. He is described as your classic right-handed power hitter that will hit for extra bases and drive in runs. With power to all fields and the ability to hit for average, Pearce naturally fits into any lineup. He is also a strong defender at both corner infield positions and gives teams the option to use him as an outfielder as well.
Pearce graduated from Okanagan College (CAN) after posting a .366 AVG and First-Team All-Conference honours in 2022. Throughout his college career, he took the field at multiple positions including: 3B, 1B, 2B, LF & RF. Despite his large frame, Pearce is an agile defender and quick on the base-paths, which was on display in his senior season swiping nine bags (9 SB).
McCoy describes himself as someone that wants “to share knowledge and lead by example.” He has a great work ethic and is someone you can find at all hours spend in the gym or in the batting cages improving his fundamentals. He is a focused leader that strives to help his team win by any means necessary.
