Personal
Strike-throwing pitcher under pressure with velo of 88-90 mph with a 4-seam fastball, 2-seam fastball slider (20-plus inches of break), curveball and changeup (10-15 mph difference from fastball). As a catcher I have a 1.9 pop time, standout blocker, framer and pitch caller. Hitter for average and some power with exit below touching 100 mph.
Started out college as a catcher/pitcher. Tenacious blocker, framer and pitch-caller. Pop time was as low as 1.88, but regularly below 2.0. Can throw to all bases from the knees if needed. Also a smooth, agile infielder with a strong arm. from short stop, third and second. Played first base as some coaches wanted to protect my arm and still have my bat in the lineup. Strong glove in all positions.
A vocal leader in the dugout, supportive of teammates. I’ve been a pitching staff leader on the practice field, helping the coach install a training plan. I’ve shared how I’ve stayed healthy through training with the coach and now I lead my teammates through the process. I’m looking to coach baseball in the future, so I’ve helped others with technique.
Career highlights
A member of the Philippines national team, won a summer league championship in the Cascade Collegiate League in 2021. Two-time Under Armour All-American, Perfect Game West Region All-American. Close to a strikeout per inning, low walks. Pitching staff leader at my college.
Coaching
I have been hired to manage a summer collegiate team right after I graduated in the Cascade Collegiate League in the Pacific Northwest. I’ve played at various college levels and been coached by people of difference styles. Some of them were new-school and used analytics, some old-school who coached by feel. I plan to mesh the best of what I learned from both to train the next generation of baseball players as a career. I would love to do that overseas as well. I’ve coached athletes individually to help develop them as a player and athlete, and I’ve coached in youth camps work with groups. I’ve also been a guest instruction at my high school working with catchers and pitchers. I feel I’m versatile on the field as a player and with my knowledge as a coach. I’ve been hired to be college level manager for the summer of 2024 in the Cascade Collegiate League. I do want to coach as a long-term career, but I’m hoping to play and coach at the same time.
Overseas Goals
I love the game and want play as long as possible at the highest level possible. I’ve traveled a lot over the years and I love to experience various cultures. Meeting others from difference countries who share my same passion is a perfect match.
