Personal

On the field, I usually throw with intensity and leadership, make the game roll with a lot of intelligence and attention in the type of ball I’m going to throw. I have a fastball (85 mph) that moves well and makes it difficult to make good contact. In addition I have a slider, sinker and changeup. I’m always changing my timing, to challenge the timing of the batters and runners on base.

In my secondary positions, I have always had greater ease with the infield. In the Brazilian national team when I did not pitch, I played as a first baseman, and I think it is a very calm position. In my city, I also play third base, which is a position I also like a lot and I can play there with ease. In general, I can adapt to all positions except catcher. I am an efficient hitter, always focused on what the team needs.

On the field, I will always cheer for my teammates, talk to the team, arrange plays, instruct, draw attention and so on. Off the field, I will always want to talk, help whenever necessary, show the way I learned baseball in my life, and want to know the way they learned too. I have had experience as a coach of children from 11 to 16 years old from my city, always spreading knowledge of the things I learned, especially in the MLB Academy. I’ll want to get to know the culture from wherever I am and talk about what mine is like.

Career highlights

  • During my life in baseball, I had some feats like perfect games and no- hitters (which was one of the main causes of me entering the MLB academy Brazil in 2014 with 13-14 years, and staying until 2017).
  • I was a bronze medalist in the Pan-American u14 Games in Reynosa, Mexico, where I was a starter and protagonist.
  • In the Pre-World U15 tournament, I was the 2nd-best batter of the championship (avg.500), behind today’s MLB player Maysin Winn of the St. Louis Cardinals.
  • In the game against the USA, I threw 5 innings, giving up 1 run and 1 hit.
  • In Brazil, I have already won national and state championships, collecting some individual prizes, most of them being as a pitcher.
  • Today, I’m captain of the Londrina under 23 team (my hometown).

Coaching

As a coach, I have a lot of patience with children and experiences of Japanese and American baseball, always teaching the base of baseball that I learned, including companionship, and respect for the field and the people in it. Teachings that I want you to take to your life beyond the sport.

Overseas Goals

I want to meet new people, and experience new cultures. I feel that baseball has many experiences waiting, after covid-19 I felt that I stagnated in my life. I wanted to live new dreams, work, play, learn a new language… that’s why I am so openly facing any challenge.

I go to the gym from Monday to Friday (whole body), I do training at the club on Wednesday (bullpen), Thursday (ball control), Saturday (in the morning we do general defense with the team and in the afternoon scrimmage game between the athletes) and Sunday (batting training and live BP). In addition, half the week I work in a baseball-themed hamburger restaurant (@hrburguerlondrina instagram) where there is a cage with throwing machines, where I teach new people to get to know baseball, and I practice in my free time.
