Personal

Cody Ivey is Professional Catcher who has taken leaps in his game since 2018. He traveled states away to be trained by former Big Leaguer Dwayne Hosey. Cody spent 4 months with Mr. Hosey, both training and helping train the youth program. Mr. Hosey was highly impressed with catching ability, and having a powerful bat.

During the Summer of 2018 Cody was very active. He participated in Spring Training for Pecos League (Independent), but did not make final roster. He then played Semi-Pro for the Military Baseball Organization. Manger Juan Adriatico was pleasantly surprised with his catching ability. He said told another coach, “A kid from Colorado shows up and has throws rods.” Cody had a put-out in his first two starts with the Military Baseball Organization. To end the Summer season, Cody spent a week playing in the Empire League (Independent). He was a bullpen catcher, and made one plate appearance. He walked in four pitches.

In 2017, he played in a Men’s league after not making an independent Roster.

Cody spent his college years playing on a practice squad, playing Exhibition games against Junior Colleges. Unfortunately, no Stats were kept on record.

Here is my take and professional Assessment on Cody Ivey. Here again is a young man who has the drive and will to play the game at all cost. He’s has tenacious ability to learn and make adjustments. Very coach able and exciting young man. Personality is off the charts, and very laser focused . Versatile body – utility player. His game time experience on the field, I’ve never witness. Cody shows some promise at the plate during live B.P. Speed is average I believe. He has a competitive edge about him. Stand up guy fun to be around.
