Austin is a Pitcher from Newmarket, Ontario. In 2019, the Dual Citizen suited up for the U23 British national team and has since played in two Senior European Championships. Most recently winning a Silver Medal at the 2023 European Championship.
After high school, Austin played 5 years at Sir Wilfrid Laurier University in Canada. A three-year captain, he led the team to consecutive Ontario University Championships.
During the last three years, Austin played three seasons in the German Bundesliga, suiting up for the Berlin Flamingos, the Stuttgart Reds and the Hamburg Stealers. In 2022, the right-handed hurler had a 0.35 Postseason ERA, and last season, he played a critical role in helping the Stealers make a playoff run. A ground ball pitcher with a good 2/4-seam fastball, change up, curveball, slider, cutter combination who consistently fills up the zone. Austin has also played two consecutive winters ball seasons in the South Australian Baseball League for the Kensington Cardinals as a two way player.
