At the end of every season overseas, we like to recognize our members who were playing around the globe for their performance on the field.  For this top batter ranking, we take a look at the 2019 summer season where we had 227 members overseas, mostly in Europe. In order to measure the performance of each batter as fairly as possible given the different levels of play across leagues, we used the following algorithm for the ranking:

Player ranking points = ((AVG x 9) + (OBP x 10) + (SLG x 8)) x league strength

Other qualifying criteria:

  • Must have been a member of Baseball Jobs Overseas who signed overseas using the website as a tool, directly or indirectly resulting in their 2019 signing.
  • Must have had a minimum of 70 at-bats.
  • Played in the first division of a particular country or second division of a top-ranking country when the level is comparable to first divisions of countries considered (ie D2 Italy, Netherlands).

Congratulations to all of our members for a great season overseas and for doing a great job at growing the game internationally.

Travel the world using baseball or softball as your ticket

Our baseball and softball members get paid to play or coach overseas year-round, mostly in Europe and Australia.

There are a variety of levels overseas which present opportunities for both the college grad and the established professional.
