At the end of every season overseas, we like to recognize our members who were playing around the globe for their performance on the field.  For this top two-way player ranking, we take a look at the 2019 summer season where we had 227 members overseas, mostly in Europe. In order to measure the performance of each candidate as fairly as possible given the different levels of play across leagues, we used the following algorithm for the ranking:

((AVG x 9) + (OBP x 10) + (SLG x 8)) x League Rank) + ((League rank – ERA) + (SO/BB)) x League Rank)

Other qualifying criteria:

  • Must have been a member of Baseball Jobs Overseas who signed overseas using the website as a tool, directly or indirectly resulting in their 2019 signing.
  • Must have had a minimum of >50 abs and > 20 innings pitched.
  • Played in the first division of a particular country or second division of a top-ranking country when the level is comparable to first divisions of countries considered (ie D2 Italy, Netherlands).

Congratulations to all of our members for a great season overseas and for doing a great job at growing the game internationally.

Our baseball and softball members get paid to play or coach overseas year-round, mostly in Europe and Australia.

There are a variety of levels overseas which present opportunities for both the college grad and the established professional.
