What I bring to the table

  • All around hitter.
  • Can hit for contact and power
  • Put the barrel on the ball consistently
  • Plus defender at 1B
  • Average at secondary positions
  • Pest on the bases

I’ve primarily played 1B, however, in summer leagues is where I have mainly played my secondary positions. It was a way to keep me in the lineup every day. I’ll make sure I get my reps and put my time in so I am ready to go at whatever position needed each day.

I’m a full team guy who is one of the most selfless people you will ever meet. I bring the energy day in and day out whether practice or games. Usually, lose my voice very easily. I would consider myself both vocal and lead by example. I’m all about having fun while being focused and going to compete. I’m a winner and refuse to lose in anything. I’ll always be doing extra work on my own or with others.

Coaching

I am someone who really puts a lot of time and effort into the guys that I have coached. I simply want them to be the best when it comes to being an individual player and person. I have no problem taking time out of my day to help my players whether it is in person or something that I can do over the phone.

Overseas Goals

I’ve heard a lot of good things about going overseas with unbelievable once-in-a-lifetime experiences. I am going to play though and compete. My goal is to simply win at all costs no matter what. I love competition and love playing the game of baseball and this seems to be a great way to continue my career and compete at a high level.

Jim Carone

Head Coach, Wagner College

"Tyler has a love for the game of baseball and plays with very high energy."

He’s an exciting player both offensively and defensively. He is solid around the base at 1B and is excellent at digging throws from other infielders.

Offensively he is a contact hitter with power to both gaps. He will hit some doubles and HRs.

Off the field, we have never had an issue. Great student, great leader, tremendous overall person.
