Member of back to back DIII World Series teams (2015, 2016) and 2016 DIII National Champion Trinity University (TX) Tigers

I am a player who has been in a lot of winning organizations and who has been fortunate enough to play with multiple current Major League players and top prospects. It was through these teams that I learned to be a true utility player, though I take pride in being a dependable and durable backstop. I am comfortable playing any position on the diamond and hitting anywhere in the order. I am a team first player and relish any opportunity to ingratiate myself with teammates and the community.

I have coached at the high school level and also helped to organize and run youth development camps. Giving back to the baseball community is something I am very passionate about as I have been blessed with countless coaches and mentors who have helped me develop both as a player and as a person. I always remember one lesson in particular passed down to me by a former coach, Ron Powell (father of former Major League catcher Landon Powell), “Baseball is the Vehicle, not the Destination”

John Wagner

Coach, Philadelphia Phillies

I had Robbie in a Winter League and in Extended Spring Training this past year with the Phillies. Over the 1,000+ guys I've had at the professional level, Robbie stood out to me. He values learning, growth, and hard work. Having very little background on Robbie, I originally had him marked down as a bullpen catcher behind a guy who was in the big leagues the year before and a 6th rounder released from the Marlins. Robbie never complained about the role and in fact was the opposite, he was thankful for the role. When Robbie was given a shot in the game, he came through big. It quickly became clear he belonged right next to the guys who had long and impressive resumes. Great ballplayer and a great human being who brings a lot of positive energy to the clubhouse. No doubt in my mind that Robbie makes any team he is a part of better. If you have any questions or need anything please let me know.

Brian Yerger

Coach, William Peace University

He is of the highest character, leadership, and hard working. He would be an amazing fit for whatever team picked him up. He is super coachable and will do whatever he has to to make sure his team is successful. If there is anything else that you need from me, please do not hesitate to ask. Again, and team that lands him will certainly be happy/thrilled that they did.

Robbie Kellerman joined our Club for the 2019/20 season in September of 2019.

He is our Division 1 Catcher and has spent the season batting 4, 5 or 6 in our line up. He has played every game, made every training and has an enviable work ethic. He is quiet and respectful, polite and honest.

He is a definitely a ‘team-first ‘guy and a real motivator for our relatively young squad.

Robbie is Coaching one our of our Rookie Ball teams in his spare time and he is popular with players and parents alike. Robbie is exactly the type of role-model a family-friendly Club like ours wants to present to it’s Junior base.

Mechanically, he is excellent behind the plate. He receives very well, blocks as well as anybody that I have seen at this level, and has been able to shut down the running game of our opponents.

After 35 games and 297 innings (in what has been a very hot Australian summer!) Robbie has an excellent fielding percentage of .986 with only 2 passed balls for the season. He is rock solid.

With 3 weeks to go, our Div 1 team has clinched a play-off spot and we are 4 games up in 1st place. This is our first post-season appearance in 6 years, and I have no doubt that a major reason for this is Robbie.

He controls our pitching staff very, very well. Our team ERA is 2.45 and with Robbie as the linchpin of our battery, our Pitchers are unanimous in their praise for him. He has their respect and calls a good game behind the plate.

Offensively Robbie is at .258 after 124 at-bats with a slug of .419 and an on-base of .356. He is a good runner and although our rules allow a runner for catcher we will often leave him to run for himself as he reads the game very well and has above average speed for a catcher.

We play in the Greater Brisbane League (GBL) – a level below the ABL - and most weeks we face ABL level and/or import arms… Robbie’s offensive numbers are above average for our team.

As you can see from the above, I have only positive things to say about Robbie. As Club-ball goes – he is the perfect guy. Easy going off the field, but a competitor and leader on the field.

While we are focused on our push to the GBL title this season, my mind is already firmly made up that we want Robbie back for next year. There is no doubt that he has made a positive and significant improvement to both our Team and Club since his arrival and he definitely makes us better.

I strongly commend him to any Club that wants a reliable, above-average player where culture, teamwork, fundamentals and integrity is important. Robbie is that guy.
