Luke is a high-average, high on-base-percentage hitter with the ability to drive in runs and a smart approach at the plate. His exit velocity ranges as high at 104 (mph).
Defensively, he primarily played first base and third base in college, but he can also play either of the corner outfield positions. His velocity on throws across the diamond ranges in the mid-80s (mph), and he has very good speed, having posted a time of 6.9 seconds in the 60-yard dash.
