One of my strengths on the baseball field is my versatility. Throughout my college career, I have played a number of different positions, including starting pitcher, closer, third, second, and first base, as well as the corner OF. I was also the freshman of the year in the Appalachian Athletic Conference in 2015. My knowledge of the game helps me in my ability to play different positions at a high level and comfortably change positions even during a game. Because of my ability to hit the ball to all fields for power, I am usually placed in the middle of the batting lineup.
Growing up in a country where baseball is played everywhere and at any time, I was quick to learn how to love and respect this amazing game of baseball. At the age of sixteen, I was the bullpen catcher for the Leones Del Caracas (winter professional baseball team) where I was able to share time with some professional baseball players and learn more about the game. A few months after that, I went to play in the Dominican Republic with a baseball academy trying to get signed. After ten months of being there, I was not able to fulfill my dream of becoming a professional baseball player. However, I was blessed enough to receive an offer to come to the United States to play for a high-caliber high school team in Brandon, Florida. I played there for two years before I made the choice of going to Bryan College.
I love and respect baseball, and the reason why is because this game has taught me almost everything in life. I left home by the age of fifteen to pursue a dream. Having gone through many adversities, I have been able to keep playing this life-changing sport. Every team that I have been part of so far, my teammates have considered me a leader on and off the field. I have a sense of responsibility, ownership, and service that has always set me apart from many. I love this game and as long as I am able to see the ball, throw a pitch, swing a bat and run the bases, I want to keep playing.

Jesús is an outstanding young man who has potential based upon both his work ethic as well as his skill level. He has strong character values, an athletic make-up as well as great baseball intelligence. I believe Jesús will be very successful for any organization who provides him an opportunity.
Jesus is a awesome kid. In my 7 years of coaching, he is one of, if not the best guy I've coached. He is loved by his teammates and truly loves people. His positivity and energy is incredibly infectious and he is a leader on our team. As a player, Jesus can do almost anything you ask him. He is extremely versatile and can play any position defensively. He is most suited as a corner infielder, but has seen time at second, corner outfield, and behind the plate. He has also pitched for us. His arm is one of his strengths and is a plus arm. At the plate, Jesus has very good plate discipline. He also can hit for power and is a huge extra base hit threat. I think he projects as a middle of the order bat who has the potential to drive in a lot of runs. I think he would be an asset to any lineup and team.
First off, as for his character, you could not ask for a better guy! He is a leader, a servant, and a fantastic teammate. He will be your most outspoken and polite player you have. I can't say enough positive things about who Jesus is as a man. I absolutely love him! As for baseball, he's had an interesting career. He came in as a 3B, we converted him to catcher and he won freshman of the year behind the plate in our conference. The next year he tore his labrum in his non throwing arm and had trouble swinging the bat. As a result, we converted him to pitcher because he had a cannon. At scout day of his junior year, he was 92-93 on the mound. That spring he had TJ and was out until the following spring where he had a great year on the mound. This fall he was a pitcher for us sitting around 88-90 and plans to be our closer. He was our closer this spring until our staring and backup SS got suspended for 14 games and we made the decision to move him to the infield. We really thought he would be a bandaid until our guys got back but he performed so well that we've kept him in the lineup all year and he's hitting 4 hole for us. The bottom line is, he can do absolutely anything on a baseball field and do it at the highest energy level. He will be a tremendous addition to your program!
