Bemidji State University, Head Coach

Talking about Jess Burlingame brings back good memories. She's a good kid, a hard worker and gets done what she needs to get done by the time you ask for. I had just gotten the assistant position coaching job here at BSU when I met Jess and even before then I knew she was the only slapper and I was excited to work with her because I heard about how good she was and still is. Slapping is a different part of the game that only some can teach correctly since they've done it before. She is the type of player that thinks a lot in the game. Thinks about what could happen before each pitch to be ready for when something actually does happen. She does the little things right and that is what I focused a lot on. She is a great person and knows a lot about the game but still asks questions all the time because she still learns every day. I think she would be a great asset on your team to help develop the game overseas. Jess loves the game and it shows when she plays.

It is with great pleasure that I promote Jess Burlingame to you. She played for me in the ASBA (Summer 2019) in Mobile Alabama. Jess was a great teammate and a great player to coach. She was always on time, never complained and was a very welcome addition to our team. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at your convenience.

Training Haus, Strength and Conditioning Coach

As Jessica's strength and conditioning coach for three years of her collegiate career, I was very impressed with her attitude and leadership in the weightroom. I could count on Jess to lead by example and vocally if need be. Jess was not afraid to ask questions and truly desired to master her work in the weight room to be more successful on the field, which paid off as she now holds many records for Bemidji State Softball. Personally, I am very thankful that we had someone like Jess who pushed herself and also made her teammates push themselves to truly put forth their best effort not just in the weight room, but on the field and in the classroom as well.
