Personal

As a catcher I take pride in building solid relationships with my pitchers so they trust me in every aspect of the game when they take the mound. Game calling is also another skill I bring: reading hitters swings, tendencies, scouting reports etc. I want to make sure that the pitches I call are calculated. Skill wise I threw out 30% of attempts base stealers this past season in the American Association. I can pop the ball between 1.87-2.0 accurately. I also did not commit a single error as well. I am excellent at receiving, blocking, and throwing. I can be trusted to lead and command a game when I’m out there.

As a hitter I consider myself well rounded. I will put bat on ball, do the little things, but I am solely looking to do damage to the baseball and drive in runs to help my team. I possess gap to gap power with homerun potential as well. Over the course of my career so far I have shown that can hit for average and slug. Also as a hitter I bring great zone awareness and 2 strike approach.

Aside from catching, I also play 1st and 3rd base at a very high level. I want To be versatile and useful for our team if I have the day off catching. Good quick hands, hand eye coordination, field IQ in general and with bunts.

I bring a veteran presence to the field everyday. I put my head down and work to better my craft and also better my teammates. More of a lead by example guy, but I can for sure be vocal when needed. As a catcher I love bringing high energy and a winning mentality to a clubhouse. Good clubhouse chemistry is important for winning. With teammates I make sure all my guys are doing well on and off the field.

Member of Brazilian National team- Starting Catcher  2019’ Pan Am qualifier, 20’ WBC, and ‘22 WBC Qualifier in Panama

Overseas Goals

I want to take my career overseas because there’s a lot of value in playing in other countries. You learn more about the game and cultures. You face different competition. Me personally I want to play against the best of the best so I maximize my potential while helping teams win

I am constantly training in the offseason. I have a group of training partners and we stay ready in case there is a call, but we are advancing at our craft and also getting our bodies stronger and healthier.
