Personal

Utility Lefty Power bat, pull side power and oppo gap hitter, can hit fastball and off-speed for power (will not just sell out to fastball) easy pop/no overswing or max effort swings to drive the ball, fluid swing, can adjust approach to the situation of the game (i.e. hit more for contact when game calls for it, run counts when beneficial to team), can hit left handed and right handed pitching, quick bat, rbi guy, arm strength 85mph, can play all 3 outfield positions and all infield positions

I only consider CF a secondary position because I have spent more time at the corner OF positions but my IQ to read hitters swings to whoever is pitching is definitely where I am a difference maker. Have not played 3B since Junior College but that was the only position I played for those 2 years. Most comfortable at 2B and played most of the season there in the Pecos. My footwork and arm angles work easiest at 2B. Have not played SS since high school but I am definitely still serviceable there as well.

Will always make time to help teammates with cage work. I believe that a team that works together to help each other versus playing for themselves or their own stats is key in creating a winning culture. (I believe the last 2 teams I played on won back to back championships because we were able to understand that crucial aspect.) I am a vocal leader when necessary but like to make personal connections with players in order to understand them and bring out their best. Love keeping the team loose and having a good time…  I believe teams play best when they can meet “pressure” with fun, while having each others back and still keeping that competitive fire to win at all costs.

Career highlights

  • Hit .352 in Pecos with 9 HR in 108 ABs
  • Hit .303 on championship team 2023 Maverick league
  • 2024 Czech extra league all star, team RBI leader (regular season and playoffs)

Overseas Goals

After winning 2 championships in the maverick league in 2022 and 2023 I am looking to further my baseball career overseas and go for a 3rd championship. I am looking to play the highest level baseball I can… but also make lasting memories with the team that gives me an opportunity. Although being on a winning team would be ideal, I firmly believe that the baseball knowledge and life experience gained so far would impact any team in a positive way. I have played against Ben Meyer (who played with the 2023 championship Amsterdam Pirates) in the maverick league and with him in multiple tournaments in different countries this year. After getting to know him and the kind of person he is… talking with him about playing overseas was a no brainer! Now just looking for an opportunity to play, win, enjoy the game I love and hopefully play with the BBJO globetrotters too!

Although I have just competed in international winter tournaments in Arizona, Mexico and Sint Maarten (Sep-Nov 2023)- I stay sharp by training in Los Angeles where players from Mexico, independent ball, and  overseas have exhibition games at the Glendale Sports Complex. I also routinely hit at a facility where I coach at Golden Valley HS in Santa Clarita, California. I have a network of players/friends that play as high as affiliate or Liga Mexico, who are reliable training parters and good people as well. My youngest brother now plays baseball at Mission College where I once played and we train together as much as possible. My situation is lucky to say the least, since there are so many ball players that network together in Los Angeles.
