Wes is an outstanding young man, with an amazing gift and love for the game. I want to do everything I can to help him continue his journey in baseball. He has so much more to give and accomplish. He will be an incredibly valuable asset to the organization that provides his the next opportunity.

Wes Hoskins played for me in 2014-2015 at Menlo College. He came to us as a corner IF, but he was able to adequately fill a need for us at SS that season. The position was new to him, but he worked with me everyday to improve his range, first step, and overall footwork. He showed initiative in his efforts to play SS because he knew that would be the best way he could help the team win. He is better suited to be a corner IF now, but I wanted to touch on his ability to learn and do what was needed to make the team better. Offensively, Wes is a force at the plate. He loves to hit with runners on base, because as he put it “it is just more fun scoring those guys when I’m up.” He had a confidence at the plate that I’ve been hard to come by at the college level. He has power to all fields and has good barrel control. Wes has good knowledge of the game and a natural skill-set that can would help any team, as a player and as a leader.
