Nino Giarratano

Head Coach, USF

This is a letter of reference for Tyler Villaroman who was the starting Centerfielder on the USF Baseball Team for the past four seasons.
Tyler had an outstanding career at the University of San Francisco. He hit .261 for his career and ranks 2nd all-time in stolen bases with 63 for his career. Tyler is one of the best defensive cf to play at USF and that includes 3 MLB players - Scott Cousins Flordia Marlins, Bradley Zimmer Clevland Indians, and Justin Maffei Pittsburg Pirates. I feel that Tylers greatest attributes are his character, work ethic, and ability to elevate his team.

Troy Nakamura

Assistant Coach, USF

You will be hard pressed to find someone with higher character, work ethic and baseball IQ than Tyler. He is an amazing human being, team mate, leader and ball player. He can change the game on both sides of the ball. If you need anything else in regards to Tyler, please let me know. I would do anything for him.

Mat Keplinger

Pitching Coach, USF

Tyler is the complete package on and off the field. He is an outstanding member of the community and student. On the field he has an extreme discipline that has made him an elite athlete with a drive that makes everyone around him better. Tyler uses his plus speed to defend and take runs away and translates that speed on the basepath with a true understanding of how to steal bases and use the short game. Tyler is a leader and he will help at all levels of whatever organization he is apart of from the top down to the youth levels.
