Avery Griggs

Seattle Mariners, Minor League Associate

Tyler is an incredibly well-rounded and reliable coach who is detail-oriented and hard working. He is big into scouting and recruiting, but where Tyler stands out the most is in his relationship development. Tyler gains the trust of players very easily and helps develop them not only as athletes but as humans. Tyler would be an incredible addition to any coaching staff.

Dustin Percle

LSU, Athletic Trainer

Tyler is someone I have known for an extensive period of time. He is someone I would say has a plethora of knowledge for the game of baseball and can coach at a very high level. He has coached many baseball teams at a variety of ages, and at each stop he has succeeded in coaching up the players and getting the most out of them when performing. He has an innate ability to draw the best out of someone and I think that is very evident when you look at his prior coaching stints and relationships with his players. I would say Tyler has two characteristics about him that really set him apart and that Is his adaptability as well as teachability. He is always willing to go the extra mile to learn and be taught knew things and he enjoys the challenge of stepping up in difficult situations. He gives everything to the game and his players, and I think he would be an excellent fit to coach at any level because of his drive and desire to see the game grow and coach those who have that same love for game. Tyler is an all-around stand-up guy, and he will make an immediate impact wherever he is at for the better of the players and program.

David Toups

Parks and Recreation Department: New Orleans, Facility Manager

Coached in the Rec and travel leagues since 2014. Coach Tyler is very hands on with player development along with his understanding of the game. His knowledge and skill are assets as well as his coaching style. Coach connects very well with the fast paced style the game has become. He is aggressive, smart, competitive, disciplined, and well rounded. Coach combines old and new techniques and applies them in the way he coaches. Mr. Pereria believes that practice and reps or an important way of honing your skills on the field. Coach preaches hustle and discipline and knows that these are two of the most important factors in player development. Coach teaches his players to respect the game and take nothing for granted. You only get what you give.
