Personal
Trent hits for both power and average, and he hits well to all fields. His exit velocity off the tee reaches into the mid-90s (mph), and he has enough speed to track down fly balls and take the extra base when given the opportunity.
He is a supportive teammate who always puts team goals ahead of individual ones. He is the type who always spends extra time working out and training in order to improve.
In addition, Trent has coaching experience at the youth and high school levels and would be interested in assisting a team’s coaching staff.

Testimonials
Trent is quite possibly the hardest worker I’ve coached so far, there isn’t a day that goes by that he doesn’t get into the cage for extra work whether it’s after or before practice. He never seems to be satisfied with where he is at and strives to get better every day. He has continued to work on his approach at the plate and last year it showed with his best year yet. He has always had pop but improved on his plate discipline and his improved approach made a big impact. He also went from an infielder with no outfield experience to an extremely good outfielder that takes good routes and gets great jumps with a plus arm. I can see Trent having success for multiple years after college with his work ethic and passion for the game.
I have known Trent since he was 9 years old. Trent's joy for the game was apparent from the first time I met him. He was the bat boy for a high school travel team I played for - the Calgary Redbirds. His late father Jim was the founder and coach of the Redbirds. I don't know many people who love the game of baseball like Jim did and it's always been apparent that Trent fully picked up his father's love of the game. As a coach, mentor, and program builder, Jim created a considerable number of opportunities for myself and many others in the game of baseball.
Trent carries on his father's legacy by being an avid student of the game and his dedication always shows up in his effort on the field. He also finds ways to give back to the game, whether that is through coaching, field maintenance, or whatever else is needed.
The Calgary Diamondbacks are an elite Senior Men's Baseball team that I have managed for five years. This summer we picked up Trent to play with us in the Grand Forks International Invitational (GFI) Tournament. The tournament is always very competitive and featured elite teams from Alberta and the northwest United States.
At GFI we faced a number of good college pitchers and a few ex-professionals. Trent hit 3rd for us in the tournament and finished with a 1.046 OPS and 10 RBI (3rd in the tournament) in six games. He was exceptional defensively, playing the corner outfield and second base.
Trent has blossomed into one of the best hitters in Calgary the last few years. I have no doubt he can join any team and immediately make an impact on and off the field.
