Personal

I play Gold Glove defense at any infield position and my will to win is something that I cannot control. My competitiveness is what has gotten me as far as I have and I find it to be one of my greatest strengths. I grind and I’m an absolute cage rat! If it wasn’t for having to rest I would never want to leave the stadium. My will to never stop playing the game as hard as I can has never gone unnoticed and my teammates love me for it. I’m there to win games and help my team win in any way they need me. My mentality for this game is to play every game like it’s my last because it was almost taken away when I slid to make a catch into concrete. It’s changed the way I look at the process and it made me fall more in love.

My approach at the plate is bred to face triple A and major league pitching. I do not swing outside of my own strike zone and I’m very consistent in staying within myself. I am a great contact hitter who can hit in any count and doesn’t let two strikes get in the way of sticking to the plan. I take my walks and I play to the teams strengths.

The Oakland Athletics fortunately have one of the best base running programs created by Rickey Henderson so I understand the flow of the game on the bases to a different level than most pros understand because of being able to work with Rickey.

My experience with secondary positions are very familiar to me. The Oakland Athletics made sure that I got used to all infield positions.

One of my secondary positions is third base and I won a gold glove in 2023.

I do play outfield and will do anything to be in the lineup.

Being from Portland, Oregon, we have a melting pot of different cultures from all over the world. At an early age I was a person who understood people’s backgrounds and understood that people have different ways of life and thinking. With that being said, I’m one of the best teammates because I expect the best out of them and I’m an understanding individual. I love to keep the clubhouse light, cool, and collective so when we go out on the field, we can put all of our focus to the game of baseball. What also makes me a great teammate is that I hold my teammates accountable and make sure they’re giving their 100 percent to the game, team, and most importantly themselves. If your teammates can’t be themselves then they won’t feel comfortable playing for the team. Winning takes a collective group that buys into the same mindset. Without leaders on the team to keep the team on the right path, there won’t be much success from anybody which means that the team suffers. I consider myself to be a guy to keep the team and others on track.

Career highlights

In 2014 I was drafted in the sixth round by the Oakland Athletics where I reached as high as AAA Las Vegas where we won the PCL West Division (2019). In 2018 I was selected to play in the Midwest League All Star game while on Oaklands MLB Pipeline Top 30 for two years in a row. I was also invited to play with the Major League team in Las Vegas for the first annual “Big League Weekend” that was played against the Cleveland Indians in 2020.

In 2021, the Texas Rangers signed me after playing a month in the American Association where I played for the Fargo RedHawks. The Rangers signed me to a double A contract but I was quickly called up to AAA Round Rock to finish the year. I played with World Series champions Josh Jung and Leody Taveras.

In 2022 and 2023 I played for the Lancaster Barnstormers in the Atlantic League. We won back-to-back championships and I won a Gold Glove at Third Base with a .975 fielding percentage (which is a new learned position). The year prior I had a .974 fielding percentage at third and was the runner up for gold glove. The winner that year had a .950 fielding percentage….

Overseas Goals

I want to take my game overseas because I want to play baseball at the highest level that I can and I want to see new places.
