Personal

I enjoyed playing Division II collegiate baseball in the United States and am very motivated to continue my playing career overseas.  In the summer of 2017,  I played with the London Mets, who went on to become champions of the National Baseball League of the British Baseball Federation.  I also played with the Mets in the 2017 Federations Cup Tournament in Sweden (which included teams from Spain, Poland, Lithuania, and Sweden).  I am currently playing summer ball in the NSW State Baseball League (First Division) in Australia and would like to either play summer ball in Europe or winter and/or summer ball in Australia in 2019.

In terms of what I bring to the table, I would characterize myself as a power-hitting first-baseman who can also fill the designated hitter slot.  In addition, I can play right field and eat up some innings as a relief pitcher, if needed.  I am very coachable and easy to get along with, have demonstrated persistence in overcoming a few injuries earlier in my college career, and enjoy being part of a team and doing whatever I can to make a positive contribution.

Scott Podmore

Head Coach, Canterbury Vikings, Australia

Seth has been a crucial part of the Vikings 1st Grade state league team for the 2018/19 season. His work ethic to always be prepared and to perform has been contagious throughout our young squad that has benefited from his leadership. As a 1st baseman, Seth has been great, but he offers us much more as he can also pitch. He has hit well in all kinds of situations and would be a credit to any team moving forward. If you have any follow-up questions, please feel free to contact me

I'm writing to you on behalf of Seth Morgan, whom I played alongside of during his time with the London Mets. I am currently the Captain/Assistant Coach of the London Mets (National Baseball League; NBL) and have also been a member of the Great Britain National team. I am originally from Lismore, N.SW. and played for Queensland throughout Juniors and Queensland Provincial and the Australian Provincial team in seniors, touring Europe in 2005. Seth was a member of the London Mets for the 2017 summer and was an integral part of our team winning the National Championship. Seth also travelled with us to Stockholm for the Confederation of European Baseball Qualifiers and helped us achieve our best result to date. Seth is a great young ball player who hits with good power! He brings a lot of experience and knowledge for such a young guy and is a fierce competitor on the field. He has a hunger to win and leaves it all out in the field. As an example of this, Seth hit a walk-off home run in game in the bottom of the 9th after we had come from behind to win against our biggest NBL rival. We used him mainly at 1st base and DH with a bit of right field. Seth also pitched occasionally to great effect. He has great athleticism and glovework/footwork in the field and great power with his bat. Seth is also a great guy off the field. I would definitely recommend him as a player and he will be an asset to any team he plays for.

Seth did a fantastic job for us during the CEB (Confederation of European Baseball) tournament in Sweden in June, 2017. He was a productive player for the Mets, but more than anything, he was a great teammate and ambassador. In the 20 years with this club, I've never seen someone slot in so seamlessly.
