RHP with 2-SEAM FB 90-92mph, 4-SEAM FB 92-94mph, CH 84-86mph, CRV 80-82mph.

FB hitter with + power that can use all parts of the field, good speed, 90MPH across IF, 94MPH from OF.

I’ve been a 2-way player most of my life. As of recently in the 2021 Guam Major League, I have spent majority of my time in CF, SS and on the bump. Good glove, footwork, and instinct in the IF. Good speed and can cover ground in the OF with + Arm strength. Can handle the FB and use the whole field. Batting .444 with 3 SB.

In the Victoria Summer Baseball League 2020 spent time at 3B/2B/RF, had a great season defensively. Batted .176 with 17 ABs.

In December 2019 with the Orewa Sharks in New Zealand played 3B/SS and handled the bat really well.

Entering the beginning of my college career as a 2-way was cut short due Tommy John in 2015. Then pitched the remainder of my career through 2018.

Southern High School 2011-2012 2-way, spent most of my time at SS/3B/ and pitched.

Baseball is a brotherhood, near and far. From making new friends to extra ground balls on days off. Funny/loose/competitive/focused and optimistic person.  Coming from the islands we’re all family, from the youngest to the oldest. Always look forward to sharing and learning about life and baseball.

Career highlights

  • 2019 Empire Baseball League ERA leader 1.59
  • 2017 KCAC Honorable Mention
  • 2017 Pre-season 1st Team
  • 2011 Pitcher of the Year Southern High School

Even as a coach there is still much to learn. I teach to the best of my ability. I am able to speak and communicate well with players. I try my best to make the most of my time spent with the players.

Overseas Goals

I wish to take my career overseas to help build my resume as a professional and experience my love for the game in different parts of the world. I come from a small island in the pacific where very few have had a chance to experience baseball overseas or in the US.

Outside of baseball I am a huge gym rat. I am a personal trainer and performance coach at NewGen Physical Therapy. I enjoy swimming, hiking, golf, frisbee, football, basketball, volleyball and hanging out with my family. I want to inspire people to chase after their dreams and succeed in life.

Medicine Hat Mavericks

Sean was not only a team leader, but as our closer was lights out when it was time to enter the game in late innings. He’s continued to develop and mature over his last several seasons due to his hard work and humble attitude.

Adam Neisius

Friends University Head Baseball Coach

Sean Cruz was one of the hardest workers I've ever coached - he was a weight room fanatic that was always prepared for his role. We used him as a closer his 1st year with us and he was a lockdown back end guy for our team that qualified for the NAIA National Tournament. We moved him to a starter role his 2nd season with us due to a couple injuries and he continued to be just as effective in that role.
Sean was an incredible role model for every player in our program and will always be one of my favorite players I've had the opportunity to coach. Sean Cruz is a player/person that would benefit any organization given the opportunity.
