Scott Bellina is a bonafide ace. He has a proven record of dominating in Baseball WA (leading the league and setting a club record in strike outs in 2022-23. Scott can also serve as a dominate closer, having peaked velocity in the upper 90’s. With sprint speeds in the 60 yard dash averaging 6.8 seconds, Scott can also provide above average defense up the middle, cover all spots in the outfield and even do damage on the base paths. Scott hit .320/.380/.460 respectively in 2022-23 per BaseballWa. Career highlights
Scott Bellina played college ball at the University of Hawaii at Manoa (Big West, Division1) but a series of injuries kept him from making a impact at 22 years old. Before college, Scott led top highschool powerhouse IMG Academy to top 10 status nationally and won award for most improved arm in the whole academy (over 200 kids in 2014).
After a brief stint in the Baltimore Orioles Organization as a player development coach, Scott made an unprecedented decision to rekindle his career and signed to play state league in Perth, Australia. His season highlighted a record breaking pitching season (55IP, 3 wins, 2 saves, 9ER, 12 BB, 102 K a 1.50 ERA and a stunning0.75 WHIP. per WABSSA.
The top moment of Scott’s season included a 10 inning no- hitter. Yes 10 INNINGS. 19. NINETEEN STRIKEOUTS. and to top it off a walk off single to win the game. Scott also pitched 2 innings for the ABL Perth Heat in an exhibition game against Team Australia leading up to the WBC.
