Both my on field ability, and my knowledge of what it takes to run a baseball program, combine to make me an excellent candidate to be an asset for a team overseas, as a player, coach, or both. This is evidenced by my skills and experience
Player, University of California Merced Baseball Club September 2015- May 2018
My hitting is my strength, thanks in part to my ability to see pitches. This allows me to hit for contact and have a fantastic on base percentage while showing ever increasing flashes of power. In the field I’m a utility man with the stamina, strength, and grit to play both pitcher and catcher exceptionally well. On the mound, I am a power pitcher that attacks the zone with mainly a fastball (87 top velo), slider, and change up. I have experience playing every other position on the field regularly with the exception of SS, which I am willing put in the work to improve upon if needed.
(2015-2016) Immediately played an integral role upon transferring in in Fall 2015, immediately being installed as the team’s starting catcher and 3 hitter.
(2016-2017) In my second season, after earning the respect of the club, was elected President and assumed more responsibility while keeping up stellar performance on the field, taking over as the Club’s Number One Pitcher.
(2016-2017) In an exhibition game against a college NAIA team The University of Antelope Valley, stunned them by hitting a three run home run to take an early lead
(2016-2017) Lead team in Home Runs, Batting Average, On Base Percentage, and Wins (on the mound)
(2017) In final series with the team batted .700 and pitched the team to victory decisive Game 3.
Positions: P, C, 1B, 3B, OF
President and Player-Coach, University of California Merced Baseball Club May 2016- May 2017
Responsibilities included ensuring that that all functions of the club were performed, from in game strategy, to player development, to scheduling games and practices, budgeting, etc. I specialize in Hitting Instruction specifically. While I have a knack for identifying places a player can improve his mechanics, I also understand how important the mental side of hitting is as well, and love talking through that aspect of the game with players. Handling a pitching staff is something my time as a catcher helps with. I innovated my role by aggressively revamping the club’s recruiting approach, and working diligently to make sure that any time new or prospective students were hearing about ways to get involved on campus, we would be there. Even if it meant personally driving six hours from home in Orange County, to School in Merced for a Summer tabling session. This strategy produced results, doubling the teams win total from the season before and ensuring that no games were canceled due to lack of participation from club members. I have experience handling a team’s finances, this included every team related material and activity, from gear and uniforms, to making sure deadlines were met for player dues as well as team dues to the NCBA.
Player, Arizona Bulldogs AZMSBL March 2019- Present
I have rekindled my love for the game in the AZMSBL (Arizona Men’s Baseball and Softball League), a highly competitive men’s baseball league based out of Scottsdale, Arizona where games are played on Major League Spring Training fields. Many former pros and more yet former college baseball players play.
I picked up right where I left off in college and have played a pivotal role, batting .500 and posting an OBP of .667
Mainly playing 2B, some C and some OF.
