Other than pitching, I have played the corner positions and hit all my life growing up even recently in Summer Ball, but my primary focus is pitching.

As a teammate, I strive to lead by example as my work ethic speaks for itself leaving a contagious energy around any team I have been on. I bring a winning mentality on and off the field making sure my teammates are on the same page so we can play to the best of our potentials in order to win. I am always putting in extra work no matter the setting and strive to be the best at my role in pitching games. I love giving positive and negative feedback to teammates because teaching baseball for me helps my performances as well. Same goes with accepting feedback from players and coaches. I am serious, determined, and gritty, but can also know when to have fun with the game and culture around baseball as a whole.

Overseas Goals

I want to extend my baseball career after college and see the world doing the thing I love most. I want to experience a new opportunity playing baseball wherever my journey goes and compete at a high level making memories that will last forever. I want to see how far I can go as a baseball pitcher and build relationships along the way with players, coaches and whoever will be a part of my future journey. I think having an opportunity to play baseball overseas or in another part of the world is such a unique opportunity for me in hopefully the near future.

Since I am coming off a long baseball season at Johnson & Wales University as well as playing for 2 different teams in Summer Ball, I am taking the fall off from throwing and I am working out doing pitcher lifts, iso body workouts, explosive movements, and agility programs. These programs will keep me conditioned and much stronger for the upcoming year. I am continuing to increase my off the field knowledge of the endless approaches to the game of baseball by reading, watching helpful tip/tool videos by successful players/coaches. I will start a throwing program during the winter time and ramp this process up gradually into the spring to be ready for longevity.

Ryan is a hard-working pitcher who has the potential to be something special on the mound. Ryan is the type of player to put in extra work and is always willing to do the additional rep or pitch, as well as whatever it takes to continue improving. With his size and strength Ryan has any coach's ideal pitcher build. You mix that with his commitment to improving and Ryan is on the right path to be very successful. I was teammates with Ryan for multiple years and I saw his maturity improve every year as well as his work ethic which led to better results on the mound and an increase in velocity/command and movement. Ryan is the type of person that can impact your team positively on and off the field.
