While working at Chicago Cubs Baseball Camps, Ryan is one of the Coaches we could rely on for anything. He is a “baseball guy” through and through but never losses sight of what is important – helping the kids. He is a great example of how a coach should balance competitiveness with compassion and I appreciate the work he has done for Headfirst.

If there was a must win game, I'd want Ryan on the mound. He's a fighter. He doesn't care who is in the box, he knows that he's better, and will execute his pitch. As a person, Ryan has developed into a leader of our pitching staff and team by the way he conducts himself in the weight room, while training, on the field and off it, Ryan displays the qualities and attributes of a fantastic leader.
