Personal

Ross throws from sidearm to low 3/4 slot and has very good movement on his pitches. He mixes his pitches well, gets a lot of ground balls and has a high spin rate on his slider.  He also is good at holding runners on base.

He is versatile – able to start and also fill the various relief roles.

As a teammate, he says he likes “to help share whatever I can bring to the table, whether that be baseball knowledge, life knowledge, mental tips, anything. I play the game loose and I like to have fun whenever I’m on the field… it is a game after all.  I hold being a team player above all else. I work hard, not just to further my own career but to help others achieve their dreams, as well.”

Derek Matlock, Head Coach, University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley says that Ross is a “great kid [and an] outstanding competitor.  He will be a huge asset to an organization.”

Ross also has coaching experience that he can led to a club.  He has had several coaching stints with players ranging in age from 10 years old to 18, including for the 12-under team of Heidenheim Heideköpfe.

He works out and trains on a regular basis to stay in top condition.
