I’m the first to help a teammate that needs something, and I work to get to know my teammates outside of baseball.”
Doug Latta, a hitting coach, and MLB/MiLB mentor, says Roemello, “is dedicated to improving himself on and off the field. He is constantly seeking out information and always looking to learn about the game at every level. He has a team-centric approach, understanding the importance of a player’s role [in] complementing the team framework. He has handled adversity well and always expresses himself in a positive manner. I am certain that he will give 110% to any team or club he plays for.”

Staying in Shape
Covid-19 ended Roemello’s senior season of college baseball in 2020. In the meantime, he has been working out three days a week and hitting four days a week. Roemello says, “I’ve been taking live at-bats at my former junior college and have also been traveling every other month to Los Angeles to work with my hitting coach, Doug Latta.”
Roemello has been the hitting coach for a 13-and-under team, as well as a summer travel team. He has also worked several years as a private hitting coach for high-school players. He has a very disciplined and simple coaching style. He says, “I try to build a bond with each individual to help him develop as a player and a person. I work to help hitters understand what works for them. I help them understand how the body moves so they can build a foundation swing from the ground up.”
