Personal

Riley Moore is a starting pitcher who is currently in his fourth season overseas and fourth season in Australia, as a two-way player for the Kensington Cardinals of the very competitive South Australian State League. The past two summers he played for Swan Districts in the Western Australian State League where he lead the league in IP. He has played two season in Europe for the Beziers Pirates of the French second division. During the 2017-18 winter he was strictly a pitcher for the Redlands Rays in the highly competitive Queensland State League in Australia. In France, he has been mostly catching and playing middle infield. In all of his seasons, Riley has helped with the youth program and has vocalized that he really enjoys coaching.

Riley finished his sophomore season at Diablo Valley College in 2017 and decided he wanted to continue with his baseball career overseas despite receiving some offers from four-year colleges in the U.S. Riley describes his pitching repertoire as throwing a cut fastball at around 85-87 mph, a changeup at 72-75 mph, and a slider between 77-79 mph. This past season at DVC, Riley led his team in innings, ERA, strikeouts, and saves.

Riley enjoys the overseas baseball experience, being introduced to different cultures, and meeting new people. He is looking to continue his career overseas for the 2022 summer season and to push himself to new levels.

Testimonials

Steve Ward

Head Coach of DVC

"RILEY MOORE was the best pitcher on the 2017 Diablo Valley College Baseball team.  The team overall was not very good but RILEY still excelled… Always a strike thrower

and ultra competitive, Moore used an 84 MPH fastball along with a hard cutter and curveball to get hitters out. About halfway through the season he carried a no-hitter

into the 8th inning versus Sierra College in route to a 3-0 win.  Riley was the best starter and closer (when he was available) for the DVC team.  I highly recommend him to any team looking for pitchers to help their team win!"
