Gap to gap hitter on a line. Hit above .365 throughout high school and college. Very tough out. QAB/RBI machine, with elite vision. Can spoil pitches easily and work very deep counts. High level barrel control, that thrives in situational/ high pressure opportunities, and runners on base. High level defender at third, first, and catcher. Able to make routine to game changing plays at all three positions.  Vocal and positive leader, that always has a team first mindset, and that is willing to sacrifice his body for the team’s success.

Plays a high-level corner infield and catcher. Very accurate and reliable throwing arm and always hungry for the baseball. Very soft hands, with quick reaction. Makes tough slow rollers look routine at the corners. Can call games and deal with a pitching staff very well. Communications skills are elite. Never shy away from the baseball, have been called a bull dog.

I have been blessed with been being named a team captain in both high school and college. I absolutely love this game, and being there for your teammates. I understand how difficult this game can be so I like to be an extremely positive leader. I have a keen ability to know what to say, and when it needs to be said. One of my favorite quotes from one of my role models, is when Joe Torre describes coaching, “I do not treat everyone the same. But I do treat everyone fairly.” Some guys may respond to some tough love, while another teammate may need a simple reminder that he’s an absolute stud, while some just need to be reminded to stay calm and breathe. This is what has set me up to have the desire to coach. I think my experience as a team captain and professional coach will be a huge addition for any team that signs me.

Career highlights

  • 2013, 2014 ISAL League MVP (NYC)
  • Captain of Varsity Baseball as a Junior and Senior
  • Elite 8 of NY State Finals (lost 3-1 to Harrison Bader on Horace Mann) 2014
  • Co-Captain of College of Charleston Club Baseball Team 2018

During my college career,  I started coaching youth travel baseball, and eventually graduated to coaching at the High School level, and finally through hard work and determination I was able to play and coach at the professional level overseas (Debrecen Tigers). I currently coach a top 200 high school in the US and run my own training company, Frosty Baseball Co. I am a coach who believes that if I can make my players better people then they will become better ball players, and then I am really living out my purpose. I have a very thorough knowledge of the mental side of the game, and employ helpful tactics such as visualization, breath work, and positive self-talk to give our team an edge. I also expect all-out effort and lead by example by always being there for my players for on and off the field issues.

Overseas Goals

After playing College of Charleston Club baseball, and I was fortunate enough to play for the Debrecen Tigers during the 2019 season. There I was a player-coach and helped coach their youth and pro teams. When I got back to the States, I created my own baseball training company called Frosty Baseball Co. I had been coaching ever since I was in high school, but after playing in Europe I realized I wanted to do it as my profession. Since then I have been a Varsity Assistant, JV Head Coach, had over 100 clients, and created 14U and 16U travel baseball teams. During my free time I play on the side in a high level (ex-college players) league on the weekends (Chataloochie Baseball League, GA). I have been blessed to have coached and developed current Division 1 (WVU, Middle Tennessee, St.John’s, Maryland), and Major League prospects (Armani Guzman, Dylan Alonso, Luis Rodriguez). I am extremely excited to share my knowledge as a player-coach with an international organization. I currently coach at a nationally ranked high school (Rabun Gap) in the US. I am 28 years old and promise I will give your organization my absolute effort and focus.

I described a lot of what I do above. On top of that, I have a rigorous workout schedule. I lift 5-6 times per week, hit 3-4 times, throw and take groundballs 4-5 times, play 2-3 games every week during the fall and summer. During the winter and spring, I am with my high school team that I coach following the exact same routine as the players during the off season. I like to practice what I preach. I am 28 years old and honestly have never felt better about my game. I feel like I have learned so much as a coach over the past decade that it has helped improve my performance on field.

Clark Wright

Head Coach at Rabun Gap

I would highly recommend Pearce Wright as a coach player and mentor. He is extremely passionate, energetic, and focused. He has an elite ability to connect with his players and get everything out of them. He has been there for his players on and off the field. He has a high level of knowledge of the mental side of the game and teaches his players how to slow the game down and be as confident as possible.

Dale Earnhardt

Director of Athletics at Rabun Gap

Pearce Wright has served as an assistant coach on our state championship contending program at Rabun Gap. His knowledge of the game, and his ability to teach our young men the intricacies of baseball, has made our program one of the top in the NC, SC, and GA. Pearce has helped develop our players as they head to top D1 schools and hopefully to the MLB one day. He is the ultimate professional and a wonderful role model for our young men. My youngest son just finished his high school career at Rabun Gap, and Pearce was the perfect example for him.
