Personal

I have been playing baseball since I was 5 and it has taken me all over the world and let me experience some amazing things and meet some incredible people. In high school we won the state championship and I was named player of the year for our league. I went to Bellevue CC for two years where I also was named an all American and hit .380.

I was then recruited to play at Kansas state university where I started in centerfield for my junior and senior year. I was also named captain of the team my senior year. Those two years I hit a career average of .300 and was named Big12 player of the week. I was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the first overall pick of the 37th round. I played two seasons in their organization and was named player of the month in my second season. From there I traveled to Australia where I played club ball for the glenelg tigers and played partially for the Adelaide bite for two seasons. These last two seasons I have played with the Auckland tuatara in the ABL. I have also played in 3 WBC qualifiers with the New Zealand national team (Taiwan, Sydney, Tucson).

Overseas goals: Extend my career a little longer before hanging them up, Experience new cultures and meet new people, Use my knowledge and experience to help grow the game globally

Max is an extremely athletic player with footspeed that evenly matches his above average bat speed. Multi-dimensional player who is a plus defender as well. Tremendous poise and the kind of guy everyone wants as a teammate due to his commitment and likeable personality.

Found Max by chance in 2011 in Washington State, and since this time he's anchored outfield of the New Zealand Diamondblacks on the global stage, and he's done the same for the Auckland Tuatara, the nation's only professional baseball team. Max is the nicest guy I've ever been around in the sport of baseball, and is loved by all of his teammates across the globe. I'm certain many of the guys in New Zealand would say he's the best teammate they've ever had. He picks his teammates up, no matter how he's going on the field, and he always has time to help out the coaching staff, fans, you name it. He's just a gem, on and off the field. He's achieved a great deal on the field as well. After a strong high school ad junior college career in Washington State, he was offered multiple scholarships and chose to attend Kansas State, where he became a fixture of their top program for 2 years. He was then signed by the Arizona Diamondbacks and went on to play two seasons in the minor leagues with Arizona. In between all of this, he has played multiple summers in Geelong, Australia and now two seasons with the Auckland Tuatara, where he was one of the first players I signed in the run-up to the inaugural season in 2018-2019. He has an outstanding season in that first year once again for us, and led the team in several categories. This past year, he had a bit of a down year offensively, but everyone is certain he will rise again next year with the Tuatara and beyond, and he'll once again anchor the outfield and batting lineup in this year's World Baseball Classic Qualifiers in Arizona for the NZ Diamondblacks.
