Personal

Consistency and power at the plate. 95-100mph exit velocity, 80-85 mph arm from outfield

Can play all outfield positions, primarily a corner outfielder by trade. Originally a first and third baseman with some shortstop experience, but always thrived on the corners throughout my early baseball career.

I’m a guy whose presence is felt in any baseball setting; practice and game. I love talking hitting with teammates, picking brains on what’s working and areas of improvement.

I’m having the most fun I’ve ever had in my last season of college ball. Bringing that energy while also being someone known for being laser focused and prepared at game time. I may not be a captain by title, but I’m recognized as a leader by my team

Career highlights

VTSU Lyndon all-time home run leader (15 and counting)

2nd in career slugging % (.471)

3rd in career RBI (71 and counting)

2026 career season .346 (27-78) 3 2B, 4 HR, 16 RBI, .538 slugging, .960 OPS, .422 OBP

Overseas Goals

I want to continue to be around the game I love and maximize my potential as a player.

I love working with kids, and being able to grow the game of baseball to the next generation is my life’s mission. I’m also in the process of finishing my Master’s degree in Athletic Leadership, and being able to teach and coach overseas will also allow me to fulfill my internship requirements.

I highly recommend Matt and have encouraged him to pursue this.

He has an immense love for the game and always volunteers to help out and has been great when I have had him in community/youth settings. I think he would thrive in the right setting/environment

I have known Matt now for 7 years, all in a different light. I have been a teammate, a coach, and a friend in those 7 years to him. In that time, not only have I seen Matt grow as a baseball player but as a person as well. Matt is one of the hardest working guys I know, in the weight room, in the cage taking swings or just talking about the game, Matt is the ultimate baseball guy and the ultimate teammate. I have no doubts that Matt has the ability to continue playing and to continue to help teams to be successful in the future!
