Personal

My strong will is the biggest talent I received. I’ve never had anything given or easy, and I don’t choose the path of least resistance. I have failed many times, suffered, and struggled greatly. First, I twice failed english Toefl test by 4 and 2 points to be accepted to US college in 2014, then in 2015 after helping to win National Championchip with D1 NJCAA Northwest Florida State College I was relieved and lost full scholarship. After that I found another D1 NJCAA and earned full scholarship back, and after the year I came back home due to lack of money to cover tuition at four-year instituitions for next year. After working over half a year and saving enough money I came back to the US and finished last two years at Oklahoma Panhandle State, became a leader of our pitching staff, cooperated on team’s strength and conditioning programs, earned academic and other scholarships, and worked whenever I could to cover my tuition. Throughout this journey I received many academic honors and finished my degree with a spectacular 3.98 overall GPA. After my college career I successfully tried out for an independent baseball teams and then earned a starting rotation spot in my first pro ball team. It is a dream many kids from my country dream about. Anyway, this was a cut through few years of my life and there is much more left behind. Achieving little wins is how I am climbing to the very top of this hill.

Besides winning National Championchip with Northwest Florida State College in 2015, I won a championchip in 2011 with Technika Brno of the Czech Extraleague, and the title of the Prague Baseball Week, which is one of the most significant tournaments in Europe since 1980, with International Stars in 2014 and 2016.

My strong will is and always will be my biggest weapon. It pushes me to not just be the best pitcher I can possibly be, but through these hard times it made me a person that cares and loves to help others. No honors and no accomplishments make one feel like being helpful to others.

Lukas is a one of a kind player. When looking for a pitcher there are certain things you look for; height, strength, flexibility, etc. Lukas has all of those tools. One of the strongest kids I have ever met and he has the flexibility to go along with it. Very in tune with his body and knows what he needs to do and he gets it done. He is a very hard worker. He was always a guy that I could leave in charge of the other pitchers because I could trust him to get everything done and get it done right. He is very knowledgeable about the game of baseball, specifically from a pitching stand point. As far as him as a person, you won't find another young man with better character traits than Lukas. He is extremely respectful to everyone he meets, he listens, he is coach-able, he is a very good example of what an athlete ought to be.

I know Lukáš for more than decade now, both on a field and in non-baseball life. In my view he is smart, goal-oriented person with strong passion to do everything in superb quality. Once he sets some objective like getting baseball scholarship in USA or improving his fastball in some aspect, he can’t be stopped until the challenge is met. Usually he is also able to find further improvements following the “win”, if necessary. Should you have him in a team he will always drive in positive impact - not only with quality pitching in the game but also as a team-leader and/or team-motivator in a dugout if the situation demands it. I would recommend him as top-quality pitcher, humble and responsible person.
