Lucas has been a successful two-way player throughout his career.  He primarily has been a starting pitcher and second baseman, but he has experience at other positions and is comfortable playing virtually all the positions.  In short, he offers much versatility to a club.

On the mound, Lucas features a fast ball that ranges from the high 70s to the low-80s (mph), a change-up, cut fastball,  curve and slider.  He has good control and is able to throw all his pitches in any count.

At the plate, he hits for average and posts high on-base percentages.

Lucas is a supportive teammate who brings energy to a team, whether in the clubhouse, at the practice field or during games.  He puts team goals ahead of individual ones.

In addition, he has a lot of coaching experience. He has been an assistant coach for the last two seasons with his professional team in Germany and has been named head coach for the 2023 season.
