Personal

Left handed power bat with pop to all fields. Consistently make hard contact in the air resulting in a lot of extra base hits. Run a 7.7 60, but can steal the occasional bag. 88 mph arm from the outfield, and a max exit velocity of 107 mph

I’m a primary first baseman and am very comfortable in that spot, however I have spent a lot of time in the corner outfield both in college and in pro ball. While not fast, I take good routes and make strong throws through the cutoff. I’m not gonna be the most flashy guy out there, but I can be reliable. I played third base through high school but admittedly haven’t played there a lot the last few years, but if my team needs me I can certainly hold my own.

I spend time with teammates joking around and enjoying myself in the clubhouse and am always open to getting extra work both in the cage and on the field. During games I like to play with passion and encourage teammates when I feel it is necessary while being able to recognize if a guy just needs a moment to reset.

Career highlights

In my first season of professional baseball in the Pecos league was named an All-Star, won the home run derby, and was top 10 in the league in HR, 2B, BB, and RBI

Overseas Goals

After experiencing the Indy ball landscape in the US I want to continue playing while exploring new places and cultures across the world. While I don’t have much coaching experience I believe my experience training with some of the best players in the world and being trained by world class instructors has given me a ton of knowledge that would be beneficial to younger ballplayers who don’t have that level of experience.

This offseason I trained at Driveline Arizona alongside many other MLB/Indy ball guys and in the spring played with the Black Sox which is a group of mostly free agent and Indy ball guys. Most recently I played 5 games with them against American Association teams. I fractured my hand on a HBP in May which prematurely ended my 2025 season.

I’ve had the unique opportunity to coach, play alongside and compete against Lucas in 2024. In every setting, it’s clear that he is a steady competitor and an outstanding teammate. His last season in 2024 was a strong bounce-back after a challenging 2023 campaign.

During the offseason, I worked with Lucas on expanding his approach at the plate—specifically, using the whole field rather than focusing solely on pulling the ball. He embraced this adjustment and went on to have a highly successful first professional season.

Lucas will bring immediate value to any team with his ability to drive in runs, deliver in clutch situations and play reliable defense. It is important to note that he has already faced adversity in the game and responded with resilience and growth. He also has experience traveling for both baseball and work, which has helped shape his professionalism and maturity.

Given his skill set, experience and character, I confidently recommend Lucas to any club.
