Personal

Defensively, Kilian has above-average speed and makes good reads on hits to the outfield.  The velocity on his throws ranges into the low-90s (mph).  He has run the 60-yard-dash in as little as 6.7 seconds, and his speed is an asset on the base paths, as well.

He can also play first base or second base, so he adds flexibility to a club’s roster.

As a hitter, Kilian has a knack for getting on base, as evidenced by his high on-base percentages.  His exit velocity averages in the mid-90s (mph) but has reached as high as 101.

He describes himself as a “very outgoing teammate who loves to win. I prefer to lead by example, but I can be vocal if I need to be. I am always going to be the teammate that tries to help teammates whenever possible.”

Overseas Goals

Kilian wants to extend his playing career, continually improve his game, and reach the highest level of competition possible. Last year Kilian broke his thumb and played after being misdiagnosed, but was later sidelined for the remainder of the season after a proper diagnosis from a specialist. After a healthy winter ball season he is looking to bounce back with a strong summer! In addition, he would be excited about experiencing new countries and environments.

Kilian is in the process of getting his German citizenship through family lineage.

Testimonials

Gene Bowles

Prince George's Community College, Head Coach

I absolutely miss coaching Kilian Bloat. He was always full of energy and played the game the right way. I can honestly say, he’s one of those players that you’re excited to see when you head into the ballpark.

I had Kilian for the 2016 and 2017 seasons at Prince George’s Community College. He was a staple for us on our World Series team in 2017. He played OF and pitched for us that season.

If I was starting a team, I would have to add Kilian to that team because he brings the "IT" factor to every ball club!
