PROFILE UPDATES COMING SOON!
Kieran is both a catcher and infielder, so he brings versatility to a club. As a catcher, he is excellent at receiving the ball and blocking pitches. As a second baseman, third baseman and shortstop he has good footwork, good hands and a velocity on his throws ranging in the mid to upper 80s (mph). Kieran was also a pitcher in high school.
At the plate, he often hits from near the top of the batting order, has knack for getting on base and has a gap-to-gap approach. His exit velocity with a wood bad averages in the mid-90s (mph) and has exceeded 100 mph.
Kieran refers to himself as a “big energy guy” who brings “a loose and fun energy, along with a strong drive to do well as a team.” He adds that “I’ve always been taught to do all the little things right, whether that’s hyping up a pitcher after a well-placed pitch or communicating, in general.”
He also has a lot of coaching experience and would be interested in assisting a club’s coaching staff. He has been an instructor for youths, assistant coach for a 15-under team, head coach of an 18-under club, and assistant coach working with the catchers for a college team.
Kieran says that, as a coach, he is “willing to learn new methods and is always trying to find the best way possible for my players to succeed. I am always willing to adjust and learn.”
He has been playing in the IBL over the past 3 years and is looking for a club this spring/summer. In addition, he has been training full-time between Driveline in Washington and Caged Athletics in Nanaimo, B.C. Both facilities are fully turfed and indoor with both Rapsodo and Hit Trax.
