What I bring to the table
I am a power hitter with a great combination of power and speed with my 60-yard dash being a 6.63. I am a plus defender with a strong arm throwing 90+ from the outfield! The hardest I’ve been clocked from OF is 96. My highest exit velocity that I know of is 111 mph. I have playoff experience as well. All 3 years I was with Toyama in Japan we went all the way to the championship. 2 years prior in college I also obtained some valuable playoff experience starting every game both years in the playoffs.
I play the whole Outfield. Throughout my professional career, I mainly played CF until my 3rd year where I mainly played LF. I am very capable no matter where you put me in the Outfield. I am also working on 1B at the moment. I played a couple of games at 1B in the Japanese Winter League.
I am a great teammate who is serious when needed to be but also goofy and loose. I know that there is a time to joke and have fun and also a time when a job needs to get done. I am the type of player that dedicates my time to the craft so I’m always in the cage or on the field whenever I can working on getting better and improving. I look out for my teammates and have their backs. I believe I hold a good amount of knowledge having played in Japan and having been around some very good people including both coaches and players. I’ve picked the brain of some of the best players in the world and put that into play and am never shy of sharing that knowledge with my brothers I share the field with.
Coaching
I am a fair coach and give everyone an opportunity to show what they can do. I allow my players to play the game and hit the way they feel is best and most comfortable for them. If I see adjustments that can be made then I will do so. I believe in hard work, consistency, and being a good teammate. I’ve only coached up to 12u so far.
Overseas Goals
I’ve played and lived overseas from the start of my professional career and am no stranger to it. I love playing overseas and enjoy learning more about the world as I also share the greatness of the game with others as I travel.
I’ve most recently played in the Japanese Winter League. I also play exhibition games at a complex here in my hometown weekly against mainly LMB and other pro players to stay ready. I do this every offseason.
