Josh Keithly is a corner infielder who graduated from Pacific University Oregon (NCAA III Northwest Conference) in 2017. Josh is now also a passionate coach who is looking to play and coach overseas and is willing to pay his flights to do so.

In his senior year, Josh led PUO in RBI and was a regular starter and known for his clutch hitting. He has good pop with the ability to drive the ball to all fields and prides himself on working the count and driving in runs.

On the defensive end he has good footwork, soft hands and a great ability to pick the baseball at first, all complimented by a strong and accurate arm.

Josh has been coaching youth since 2013 and would be happy to take on a role within the youth program within any club that signs him.

“Throughout my personal experience in this dynamic sport, I have also developed a passion  for coaching alongside playing. I enjoy helping and guiding others throughout their path in baseball and would like to make a career out of it.

Playing internationally can also help me improve to become a better coach by working and learning in a different dynamic setting. Baseball has always been apart of my life and would enjoy encountering a new opportunity to experience playing overseas.”

Ryan Dambach

Assistant Baseball Coach, PCO

"Josh Keithly is one of my favorite athletes I have ever worked with. His willingness to learn combined with his always upbeat personality makes him an asset to both his coaching staff and his teammates. Josh is an exceptional first baseman with above average defensive skills. At the plate Josh has great bat control and can be counted on to deliver situationally or to drive a ball into the gap. I wish I had the opportunity to coach Josh longer then I did. I’ve really enjoyed seeing the player and man he has become."

Brian Billings

Head Coach Pacific University Oregon

"Josh Keithly is simply on of the best defensive first baseman that I have had the pleasure of coaching in my career.  He is a right-handed thrower with a strong, accurate throwing arm and he has great feet and a very quick release.  He’s very good around the bag, making other infielders better by showing great range and excellent footwork around the bag.  He’s also proficient at picking the ball and often gets the difficult picks that most 1B don’t get.   Offensively, Josh is a lefty with a solid swing.  He’s got a quick bat and he has gap power with the potential to hit doubles.  His speed is average for the position. Josh is a great kid who is fun to have on the team.  He’s a hard worker, intelligent, and full of energy.  He would be a great addition to any teal looking for a well-rounded first baseman."
