Describe yourself as a teammate
I’m a lead by example type player, the kind to live in the batting cages 24/7 and work with teammates at any time to talk and workout mechanics. I like to share knowledge and hang out with teammates outside on and off the field.
Explain your experience and abilities at your secondary positions
My true position is Center Field, I have played first base at the college level and have experience at third base in travel tournaments.
Why do you want to take your career overseas?
I want to take my career overseas because I have nothing to lose. I have my master’s degree, and can still play and coach at a high level. I’ve been saving up for some time solely to play baseball overseas and make another run at the dream of playing professionally.
If you have not competed recently, explain what you have been doing to stay sharp and in shape
I’ve stayed in shape by training boxing, weight lifting, and multiple HIIT sessions a week. Also, taking batting practice, live at-bats, and fielding fly balls and grounders.
In a paragraph or two, summarize what you bring to the table as a coach
As a coach, I bring deep knowledge in all things hitting, from the mental to the physical/mechanical. I work closely with hitters to develop power to the opposite field. Additionally, I provide nutritional guidance, weight lifting knowledge, and speed training abilities, having worked with Randy Smythe. He’s a renowned speed trainer living in South Florida, he trained NFL and MLB athletes. My style is for hitters to find their natural movements for their own body so their swing is fluid, emphasizing barrel control and lower half strength.
