Personal

7 year professional, 1 year with Chicago White Sox and 4 years with Oakland Athletics with AA experience, now with 2 years international experience. Best quality is being a competitor, extremely competitive on the mound. Have been an All-Star in pro ball, All-American in college. Experience starting and relieving, but better suited as a starter because I’m an innings eater and have solid 4 pitch mix.

Starting for Israel in the European Championships A Pool in Bonn, Germany September 7-15.

Great teammate who loves sharing all my knowledge and helps my teammates get better. Always looking to help the community and better the area that I am in. Really love the game of baseball and want to expand my knowledge and experience overseas as well as continuing to share what I already have.

Abilities summary: 4 pitch mix, any pitch any time. Fastball 86-90 with good movement, wipeout curveball to go along with quality slider and changeup. Major strike thrower. Plus plus hair and beard, definitely up any teams’ hair cred.

Joey is a phenomenal young man and a fierce competitor. He is with me currently in Germany and will be my game one starter in the Olympic qualifying tournament. He is a tremendous team guy and is great in the clubhouse and would be an asset to any team that would be like enough to get him.
