Two way infield/pitcher for Nationally ranked Riverland Community College (Austin MN)from 2016-2018. Spring of 2019 Salem University as a relief pitcher/closer. McNellis prides himself on being as versatile as possible and being a solid glove at any position He is put. In high school, McNellis was a three-time gold glove winner in high school (two at first base and one at shortstop) and had all-district honors senior year as a shortstop for class 5 district 9 Missouri high school baseball.
At Riverland Community College McNellis played all 4 infield positions and was an emergency catcher. At Salem university McNellis was a relief pitcher and occasionally a closer.
McNellis always prides himself on being available on the mound anytime his team needed. And when he is not on the field Jack makes sure to be the best teammate possible in the dugout and off the field.
In the summer of 2019, McNellis played for the Chillicothe Mudcats in the MINK collegiate summer league where he led the league in saves with 7, had a 14.9 K/9, struck out 28 and had ZERO walks in 17.1 innings of work. He was selected as a MINK League ALL-STAR. After the season was over was an honorable mention for Pitcher of the Year.
Jack has a love for the game that gives him a competitive advantage over most players. He is willing to make the necessary sacrifices to improve his skills and knowledge and you never have to ask if he’s giving 100% in any drill, practice or game. Jack is a lead by example player that pushes his teammates to commit to the team and personal goals established by the players and coaching staff. Jack is easy to coach and appreciates a challenge. Jack will always speak his mind and question coaches and players to better his understanding.
I have coached Jack since he was 8 years old he has played every position on the field and from that has gained a knowledge of the flow of the game from all angles and situations. Jack has challenged me as a coach to always be prepared for an explanation on why and how we are working different drills, pitching certain batters and approaching situations in practice and games. I would always need to be prepared to do more or advance the drill to meet his desire to improve. Jack is one of just a few of my former players I have allowed to give lessons at my facility. He has the ability to have fun and stay focused that is required to work with younger players. Jacks greatest skill may be sharing his love for the game.

High school head coach
My name is Jared Wood, I used to coach Jack McNellis in High School. It is my pleasure to recommend Jack to play over seas. As a alumni of the Antwerp Greys, I think Jack has what it takes to travel to a foreign county and fit in and thrive. He was always a great team mate and leader. Jack was able to put his self interest aside and do what is best for the team. He learned many positions under my tenure, and never once complained. Jack was also a great influence for the younger players. Jack typically did the right things on and off the field making him a great mentor.
If there is any more info you need from me please let me know. You will not go wrong with Jack!

College pitching coach
Jack is the definition of a teammate; he carries himself with great attitude and contagious energy. I had the pleasure of being his pitching coach for the 2019 season and aside from the hammer of a curveball and heavy sink of his fastball, the “new guy” had great work ethic and led by example, no questions asked. Jack McNellis was the same guy every single day! I am pleased to be a reference for Jack and I am certain he will be of high value for anyone looking for electric stuff. Feel free to call or text me with any questions regarding Jackie.
