Personal
Ian throws with a sidearm motion and can be either a starter or reliever, so he adds flexibility to a pitching staff.
His fastball velocity ranges from the mid to high-80s (mph), while his slider ranges from the mid-70s, and his change-up lands in the low-70s.
In addition, he is versatile enough to play the outfield, as necessary.
Alan Cirilli, General Manager of the Cobb Angels, says, “Ian joined our organization and absolutely blew me away. I could go on and on about how good his stuff is, as well as his ability to throw all his pitches from various arm slots. The thing that I was most impressed with is his love of the game. He takes great pride and joy in practices and off-season work to make himself better. He is an excellent teammate and unbelievably coachable. Any organization that he ends up playing for will be better for it.”

It would be my pleasure to help Ian along with his career. First off, as a player/manager for the Cobb Angels, he is a great teammate and a joy to coach.
As a player he is a great talent. He is a rare sidearmer who can throw a variety of pitches effectively from any arm angle whether from submarine to over the top and all angles in between. He’s never turned down an opportunity to take the mound. We wouldn’t have have won our championship in 2019 without his gritty and clutch performances in the semi and championship games. He was named co-MVP due to his championship start where he pitched a complete game shut out against the 5x defending champions.
He is also a great teammate. If an infield happens to make an error behind him he is the first person to tell them to shake it off and always has his teammates back. Though he is one of the younger guys in the clubhouse he is a leader and is respectful to the veterans. If feel this is attributable to his up bringing and I can’t talk about Ian without giving credit to his parents who not only come to every game to support their son but the entire organization. They raised their son the right way and it shows.
Ian is also one of the most loyal guys I’ve ever met. He has had opportunities to jump to other teams but he remained loyal with us before we became the championship caliber club we are today. He is the type of player that makes and wants to make his team better. He wants to earn it and not be handed to him which is rare in this day in age.
Any team interested in Ian is getting a very talented and hard working kid who knows how to win and works tirelessly to get better each and every day.
If there is any other way I can help Ian please feel free to contact me.
I coached Ian for the Alpharetta Aviators in the Sunbelt League this year. His positive energy and desire to get on the mound were unmatched.
He has an excellent feel for a heavy sinker to both sides of the plate. He is comfortable throwing his slider or changeup in any count. His slider is a tight hard-breaking pitch that comes out of the hand well, especially with his submarine delivery. His changeup is a solid offering that he stays on top of to keep hitters swinging over it. Ian works fast with a good tempo and mound presence. He displays good athleticism holding runners and fielding his position as well.
Ian is a team player who is highly dependable on and off the field. He shows up every day ready to improve and help his team win. I think he would be a great asset to a team looking to add a reliable arm that is experienced starting or relieving.
Having Ian on your pitching staff means you know what you are going to get every time you send him out there. He’s able and willing to fulfill any role you give to him. Whether that be as a closer, stopper or starter, Ian throws strikes, keeps his team in the game and will go as long as you need him to. His ability to get weak contact, ground ball outs means his pitch count is usually down and he’s constantly keeping his fielder engaged. Ian is a versatile pitcher who gives flexibility to the rest of the pitching staff.
As for his character, you don’t have to worry about Ian doing the right thing, on or off the field. In the field, Ian handles his business and sets an example to those around him. Off the field, he is a very quiet, no nonsense kid, he will not be someone you have to worry about when he leaves the field. He does the right thing wherever he goes and would be an asset to any team.
