I am a player that is resilient, hardworking, passionate and a leader by example on and off the field. I am a team player and I’m willing to do whatever it takes to lead my team to success along with being that teammate that is willing to help them become a better player. My team is my second family and I love being able to play a sport that allows us to show we have each others back on and off the field. Growing up I was told that I would never make Division 1 softball due to my size. I also was told that I would be an amazing Division 1 softball player one day. The person who told me that I wouldn’t make it, is what got me to be apart of the 1% of division 1 athletes. I wanted to prove them wrong and I did.
As the starting 2nd baseman and captain for my high school team, I was lucky enough to be part of the Valley championship in my sophomore, junior, and senior year. In 2014 we were the first team to ever win a CIF Valley championship making history at Redwood high school.
Along with the team’s success, I experienced a lot of personal success as league MVP while also receiving multiple All-league and All-county honors. This led to an NCAA Division 1 scholarship to Cal State University Northridge as a sophomore in high school.
As a freshman and sophomore at CSUN, I was a pinch hitter and pinch runner on a very deep roster. In my junior year I became the starting 2nd baseman, batting .241 with a fld% of .941. Now in my senior year, I am once again the starting 2nd baseman and will be looked upon to assume more of a leadership role. I am a very aggressive hitter that does not let pressure get to me. I have power to hit homeruns but I am mainly a gap hitter and I find a way to get on. I am quick on the bases and a smart runner.
This game is a passion of mine and I hope that I get the opportunity to continue my career overseas because I love it and because I would love to help an overseas club become one percent better everyday.
