Personal

Graham Fisher has been a two-way player for almost his entire baseball career, including his final two years of college baseball and in his third straight season overseas.

In his senior season at Grinnell College (NCAA III), Graham had an MVP season for the ages which saw him as a team leader both on offense (.426 BA, 10 HR) and pitching (1.47 era, 7-2 record). He received numerous recognitions for his monster season including ABCA/Rawlings All-American Second Team as a utility player.

After college Graham signed on to play with Ryde Hawks in the New South Wales State League (Australia) and then the Dortmund Wanderers of the German Bundesliga 1. After returning to Australia for a second year in 2017, he signed on to play with the Lucerne Eagles in the Swiss NLA.  He is currently in the midst of his third winter season with the Hawks and fifth consecutive overall season.

Graham describes his pitching repertoire as throwing an 87-89 mph 2-seam fastball, 75-77 mph curveball, 77-79 mph changeup, and an 80-82 mph splitter.

He considers himself a pitcher who thinks like a hitter, reading opposing hitters, and pitching accordingly. Each of his pitches has its strengths which he uses to keep batters off balance, producing swing-throughs, ground balls, or looking strikes.

At the plate he describes himself as a patient hitter with the ability to be aggressive and jump on mistakes. He is a gap-to-gap power hitter to both alleys (exit velo of 96-100 mph) and the ability to shorten up and hit for contact.

Graham when asked about his success to date:

“I put in the work to get better and to put myself in the best position to succeed, not only in terms of quantity of work reps, but mostly in terms of quality work and practice reps.”

Graham is passionate about coaching and is happy to help out his new club wherever needed. He has gained valuable experience as a coach with baseball and softball since being overseas, coaching ages 11 through 21.

Testimonials

Tim Hollibaugh

Head Baseball Coach, Grinnell College
hollibau@grinnell.edu

"Graham Fisher was a two sport-athlete at Grinnell where he was all-conference in both as well as an All-America in Baseball as a utility player.  He is the hardest worker I have coached and put in countless hours not only in the weight room but on the field to improve in all areas.  He has a power bat with an exit velo of 92 mph and his fastball touched 89 when he was with us.  He is a talented player who will only continue to develop the longer he plays."
