As a hitter, Ethan hits to all fields, has some power, and has the ability to execute a bunt. His exit velocity off the tee ranges into the high 90s (mph). He has very good speed, having run the 60-yard dash in as little as 6.78 seconds, which is an asset on the base paths and defensively.
Defensively, he can play all three outfield positions. His speed enables him to cover a lot of ground, and he has a plus throwing arm.
Ethan is a lead-by-example type who can be a vocal leader when necessary. He is an energetic, supportive teammate who is constantly trying to learn and improve, and he always puts team goals ahead of individual ones. He is a very hard worker and trains hard in the off-season to keep his skills at a high level. “I work out regularly with weights, and also focus on cardio, core, and agility,” he says. “I also work at my travel team facility on long tossing, getting reps in and hitting.”
