Cuban born Elias Macias a SS who finished his senior year at Valdosta State University in 2018 which is in a top NCAA II conference (IBC rating of 8.5/10). Accumulated over 550 collegiate at bats totaling 33 doubles, 9 Homeruns and an .OBP of .375.

The switch hitting SS is extremely versatile. He has an arm capable of throwing in the high 80’s from across the infield and great athletic ability. This helped him appear on the field at every position in his college career except for on the mound.

Elias’ minor in international business combined with being fluent in both Spanish and English and his love to travel make overseas baseball a natural fit for him. Therefore he made the decision pursue overseas baseball instead of an indy pro career.

Following in the footsteps of both his father and grandfather, Elias is a baseball player through-and-through and has always stayed active in the game as much as possible. His hitting Coach Frank Valdez is highly known and respected in the baseball world. Training big names such as Manny Machado, Albert Pujols, Nelson Cruz and countless others. He is now looking to take his passion for the game overseas and is open to all clubs who are interested in bringing him on board for the 2019-20 winter.

Testimonial from David Burns, BBJO founder:

“I met Elias at the Finkstonball tournament in Austria this summer (2019) and although I didn’t see him play much, I can that he possesses the attitude and character that clubs overseas seek in an import. Although I only got to see Elias play a little, I was impressed with what I saw after seeing him rope a double and make a nice play from deep in the 5-6 hole. Also, on a recent poll soliciting feedback from clubs in Europe on who is deserving of the “Ambassador of the Game” award, Elias received tremendous support from his current team (see below)”

Assistant Coach Tallahasee Communitty College

"Elias is one of the hardest working players I have coached. He has an unique passion for the game and is coachable. Elias makes it easy for a coach because he cares about the game, wants to further his ability, and is open to new ideas that will help improve his skill. Elias has the ability to switch hit and play solid defense in the infield which will help him succeed internationally. I was fortunate to coach Elias at Valdosta State University."

Oddibee Mcdowell

High school coach

"Morning, thanks for the opportunity to help assist one of my former high school players. Elias Macias, is a dedicated and committed individual. When he sets his mind on doing something regardless of what others might say he works extremely hard at it. I have no reservastion in given my approval or recommending Elias as a player nor an individual. His work ethic is to be desired and his determination is like not other. I'm grateful to have had the privilege of coaching and working with him."

Stock Ramirez

Associate scout (Angels)

"I met Elias the summer of 2013 when he played for me. When he played for me he was a utility guy not because he didn’t have a position it was because he was such an asset that no matter where I put him he got the job done. He is a gamer loves the game. He is a great competitor and team guy. I was truly appreciative of his work ethic and team leadership skills. By far one of my favorite players I have the privilege of coaching. He is responsible, respectful and one young men that is easy to root for. Reminds me of Ben Zobrist, of the Chicago Cubs."
